Russian cbank to check Bank Jugra on Monday
MOSCOW, Apr 4 (PRIME) -- The central bank will hold a planned check of Bank Jugra, one of Russia’s top 30 by assets, on Monday, a spokesman for the authority told PRIME on April 1.
Last week, business daily Kommersant reported that the central bank and the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) would check the deposit portfolio of the bank.
“We are confirming that a central bank check will begin in the bank on Monday, I have no information regarding the DIA check. According to our data, the investigation is regular and is partially due to a change of the domicile to Moscow from the city of Megion,” the spokesman said.
In January, Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Moiseyev said that Bank Jugra could receive state aid if it reduced the share of loans to businesses belonging to people affiliated with the bank. In March, Bank Jugra refused to participate in the state aid program.
